Turning Pages Review:
Turning Pages Photo Book Printer and Software
Writing this Turning Pages review was just a little strange. Why? Because this is a photo book printer whose software ranks high
in our Feature Set Review... and yet the software is so slow to use that you forget how much can actually be done on this site!
While I found the site easy to navigate, the wait time for loading backgrounds, layouts,
borders and artifacts was annoying. Every time I switched from backgrounds to layouts,
I had to wait for it to reload. Going from one page to the next even required time for
loading data. Don't even get me started on the time it takes to load the finished book.
Creating a Turning Pages Photo Book
As stated above, the actual software for Turning Pages photo books was simple and easy to use. Navigation is clear and its easy to follow the step-by-step process.
It's also easy to delete a photo from your project using the trash bin, but if you have it on
a page and change your mind (and who doesn't do that) the process to remove it (but
still save it in your project) is a bit more tedious and time consuming.
Your Photo Book Options
Along with photo books, calendars, posters and prints are also available at Turning
Pages. The photo books are sewn, hard cover bound and printed on archival quality paper.
Books start with 24 pages and can hold up to 88.
Our Conclusions
In short, if you have a lot of time on your hands and nothing open on your computer, you
might want to give Turning Pages a try. After all - they did do well on the Feature Set Review, which means their sotware has a lot of features and capabilities.
Given what the software can do, this Turning Pages review would be much more positive if they found a way to speed up the process.
