My email from Picaboo
by: Photobookmaker

To transfer books between different computers, please follow the steps below:

For Picaboo X:

1. Locate the PicabooX folder on your computer, which will be located in the "My Documents" directory if you are running Windows, or the "Documents" directory if you are on a Mac. That folder will contain all your book files.

2. Copy the book files from that folder and transfer them to any other computer running Picaboo X. Next, place the files into the PicabooX folder on the new computer (which will be in the same location as described in step 1).

3. Open Picaboo X and go up to File -> Open. When the Open window comes up, navigate to the PicabooX folder where you copied your book files. From there, just select them (one at a time) and click Open. After that, the selected book file should appear in the Library area like normal.

For Picaboo 2.5:

1. If you've installed or logged into Picaboo on your second computer using the same email address that you used when creating your books, you will need to archive them on your old computer and import them into Picaboo on your new one.

To do this, select the book you wish to transfer and go to "File" -> "Archive To." Picaboo will then create an archived file of your book, which you will then need to transfer to the other computer using any method you wish. I would recommend using a flash drive or a CD, as the archived book file is likely too large for email.

Once this file is on the second computer, you will need to open Picaboo there and go to "File" -> "Import From" and navigate to your archived book file. Once you select the archived book and click Open, Picaboo will begin importing your book. This process can take anywhere from 5-30 seconds, depending on the speed of your computer. After Picaboo imports your archived book, it should then appear in the "Home" area of Picaboo on your second computer, where you will be able to open it up and continue your work like normal.

2. An alternative method is to install Picaboo on the second computer using a different email address as your original account, and then use the share feature in Picaboo to share your books with this other account.

You can do this by adding your new Picaboo account as a Pal in your old one (click "Add Pal" in the "Home" area of Picaboo), and then you will need to right-click the book you wish to transfer and select "Share."

After you select your new account from the list of Pals, you can proceed with the sharing process. Once the book uploads from your original computer and then downloads into your new account on the second computer, you will need to save a copy of the book by going to "File" -> "Save As" before you are able to edit it.

If you have any trouble with the instructions above, or if you have any other questions, please let me know and I'd be glad to assist you!
