PrintMyPhotoBook Software Review
Since I did my first Printmyphotobook review, they released version 3.6 of their photo book software -- there were no functional differences that I could see while using the "new" software.Printmyphotobook has only plain backgrounds offered in the background tool, but if you are an expert, you can add any image as a background and then overlay it with as many pictures as you want. This is shown in "The Way It Works" - a description of the process and steps to make your photo book. This is very helpful, but their other forms of help are some FAQs and the ability to send an email to get your question answered -- without a promise to the length of time it will take.
I was impressed with the calendar layout option. Now you can easily make an appointment calendar for a special someone - you can add pictures to the calendar pages.
I think the favorite option is a double page layout -- I have seen it before, but you need to do some manipulation to achieve the same thing with other programs.
The photo book software is available for both Mac and Windows.
Their Photo Book Options
One thing that is confusing is the types of bindings that are used in Printmyphotobook. If you go to the binding page it says there are three types of binding. They only list two types that are available. One has one option under it, and the other has four options under it. This doesn't add up to me. They do have a staple bound booklet, hardcover book with a few options and spiral binding.Printmyphotobook's minimum size book is a generous 36 pages. Remember when looking at the price list that their book size is almost twice that of other publishers. Updated: August 13, 2010
