Can you tell me how to burn a cd or dvd from my memory card? Does any of the photo book publishers have that service?

Using a photo book publisher to create a DVD

Creating a DVD or CD at a Photo Book Publisher is fairly easy to do. The first part of your question indicates that your images are on a memory card or memory stick. In order to get these on the computer you will need some sort of interface to do that. My laptop has a port built right into it that allows me to put my memory card in and then I copy my pictures to a folder in MyPictures on my computer. If you do not have a port built into your computer you should have directions for downloading pictures onto your computer with your camera instruction manual. You will probably have a USB cable to transfer them.

After you connect the camera to your computer you can copy your pictures to a folder that you choose. Now we are ready to talk about the photo book publishers that also offer DVD's. dotPhoto has an easy to use software that you can use to create a dotPhoto show containing up to 200 photos and you can add a soundtrack and transitions between pictures. You can then order a DVD for $24.99 that can be played on your TV or computer. It comes in its own jewel case.

Shutterfly also offers a DVD that lets you showcase your favorite pictures with music, borders, and special effects. They have six different styles to choose from. What is really great is that they have a sample of each style for you to preview before you start your project. The DVD is $19.99.

At Smilebox you can create a slide show from one of over 200 templates and then you can create a DVD with the finished product. If you have a DVD burner you can even burn it on your own computer.
