Background ThemesEach publisher will be scored on the different number and variety of background themes available. A total of 3 points is available for the site with the most backgrounds available.
Layout VarietyEach publisher will be scored on the variety of layouts offered. The highest score available for this section will be 3 points.
Utilize any JPG as a BackgroundThe ability to utilize any JPG as a background gives you a lot of flexibility when making photo books. A score of 1 point will be given if you can do this in at least 1 background, and 0 points if this cannot be done in any layout.
Digi-Scrapbooking FriendlyThis goes beyond having the usual sizes of books that digi-scrapbookers want. It means that you have options to upload pages created in an outside software program (such as PhotoShop). 1 point given if this is available, 0 if it isn't.
Can the pictures be edited once you have placed them on the pages of the book? 1 point if you can, 0 if not.
Text - Variety and Full-PageThe ability to utilize text is important in some books. Can you change the font? Offer a full page of text? 2 points for the most variety and options.
Embellishments and CornersCan you add embellishments and corners to your pictures? 1 point for being able to do so.
Full Page Bleed1 point is given for being able to have full page bleed (picture can "run off" the edges).
Photo Book Software Rating: The Points System
When you add up all of these different photo book software features, each one will give that photo book printer a certain number of points. A "perfect" score is 13 points.
