This year I've decided to do a whole year of photo gifts! Why? Because I remember when I got my first microwave years ago. I decided that the only way to learn how to use the microwave was to cook every meal for a week with it. Working with photo gifts and photo books is a lot like learning how to use that microwave. You have to just decide to do it and do it often.

I have already used photo books a lot in the past for gifts:

For a friend's birthday I made a travel book with pictures from a trip we took to China to visit a friend.

Another friend received a photo book for her birthday of pictures from our 20+ years of knowing each other.

My husband's cousin had a second wedding and they asked that there be no presents. We gathered pictures that everyone took at the wedding and made a photo album. Although they had a professional photographer this book highlighted the friends and family who were there.

If you don't have enough pictures for a photo book you might want to consider making another photo gift. Certain times of the year are really prime for making photo gifts. If you like to exchange unique Christmas gifts check out my page about giving unique photo gifts.

Anytime of year is a good time to make a Photo Calendar because the calendar can be designed to begin with any month. Calendars are great because they are appreciated for a whole year.
