Josten's Photo Books are undergoing a name change. They were originally marketed as OurHubbub, but now use both the Jostens and OurHubbub brand together. Which makes sense, considering how many people know of Jostens for their photo yearbooks.

The photo book software is robust and easy to use. Text can be easily added to almost any page and moved to any location on that page. Adding or deleting pages is a snap and you can reorder the pages by dragging them to the desired location.

If you want to use one of your pictures as a background, with text and photos on top of it, you will need to make your photo into one of their customized full page templates and then put the text and photo boxes on top of that page. While you can make any image larger or crop them, you are still not able to shrink the images to make them smaller.

Creating a Photo Book at Jostens

You can create your own templates or choose from a wide selection of over 120 theme books, including their new Digital Scrapbooking books. You have the versatility of designing your own cover in both the 11x8.75 and 8x8 sizes, however, they have over 50 exclusive cover designs, all of them unique and offering you great choices. There are many that are preprinted and embossed, with different images that fit their theme templates. Your picture and text can be printed right on the cover and you can add printing on the spine of the cover for an additional charge. If you have your pictures on Flickr, now you can import them to create a photo book at OurHubbub, which is a nice bonus.

Jostens Ourhubbub Photo Books offers two book sizes. The books have sewn binding and start with 22 pages and go up to 60.

Collaborating to Make a Photo Book

Jostens Photo Books has a group workspace where you can develop a photo book with a group. This is especially helpful if you are creating a team yearbook and need pictures and input from multiple sources.
