I recently did a software book through My Publisher and their new software has a glitch where it can crash and cause you to lose your entire book. This happened to me 4 times before I was able to complete the book. Tech support was great, but not available late night or on the weekend. One morning I called at 10 am and no one was available. I would not recommend My Publisher.

Joining the club? My book appears to be gone!

Many hours and 40 pages into a 300 photo book and MyPublisher V7.0 crashed. Despite my habit of regularly saving my work, the while thing appears to be lost. The software does not find it at all anymore. If tech support cannot fix it for me I will be moving to some other solution ... losing an entire book is inexcusable. Anyone with a little database background knows there are plenty of techniques for implementing atomic operations that make total loss of the file nearly impossible.

Photobook software CRASH!

I just completed a 100-page book on a vacation. As I was proofreading, the book disappeared and the error message came up stating that the book could not be found. I immediately called the company. They said that it is gone, and that this happens sometimes. This is so discouraging. Shouldn't this be a problem that they could fix?

Run away!

Same experience as below. After days of fine-tuning a 47 page book for a special birthday, the program crashed and lost the book. Oh, the file is still there, but the program won't access it. Tech support was unclear, unhelpful, and did not resolve the problem. Would NOT recommend.

Permanent pinwheel

Works great after even 3 and 4 pages. By the time you get to 15 pages, every single action you take causes a hang of at least a full minute. A 26-page book was such a tax on the system that just filling out the billing info to buy the thing was several minutes of pinwheel BETWEEN EACH KEYSTROKE. And that's on a core 2 duo with 4 gig and noting else running. I would never wish My Publisher on anyone. BE WARNED!

Do not use MyPublisher on the Mac because it is unusable

No More MyPublisher Software Crashes?

I have noticed that the upgraded MyPublisher software is less memory intensive and more stable than earlier software releases. This started with MyPublisher 3.3 and continues with myPublisher 4.0.

If you haven't been using MyPublisher due to software crashes, you might want to give them another chance.

My Publisher locks up and is VERY slow

I have also had a very hard time using My Publisher. The first few pages go great ,and then it gets slower and slower. At about pg 30, it takes forever to load one picture. I had a good coupon and was determined to go longer, but right now I am totally stuck. I have called tech support and done everything they suggested several times, but still the system immediately freezes. So, I have a half done book and am looking for another good coupon to start over with someone else.

More MyPublisher sofware conflicts

I was trying to see what type of changes had taken place at MyPublisher because someone had written in and said they liked MyPublisher. I was traveling and the software download created such problems on my computer that I couldn't log into the internet. Once I removed the software things were fine again.

That was back in March of 2009. Obviously you have had trouble since then!
