The colour text weight paper (http://www.blurb.com/create/book/pricing#color-trade) looks exactly what you need. I'm intending to edit my own diary including pictures, and I'll try that program. I've used blurb to print my photobooks and they look great, I hope my diary will look great too!!

Creating a Memorial Photo Book

That sounds like a really wonderful project! I've been trying to think of a way to honor my own father who recently passed away, and might just copy your idea, and make a memorial memory book for him.

I think a good option for this sort of book might be Shutterfly.com. If you got to their user created photo book gallery you can see that lots of people create photo books with plenty of text, which should give you some ideas of what others' books look like.

Picaboo also allows a lot of text customization.

Both will allow you to add text blocks to photo pages, or include whole pages of only text.
