Make Your Own Photobooks

Losing your Kodak and Walmart Photos

by Linda Reavill
(Dearborn, MI)

People like to upload their photos to one of the many photo book publishers and feel that their photos will be there for them.

Kodak recently sent me an email with the following info:

"Act now or your photos may be deleted." If you store 2G or less of photos online you must purchase at least $4.98 annually. This is not unreasonable - so check to make sure that this doesn't apply to you so you won't lose some pictures or access to friend's pictures.

In a similar move, Walmart Photos will now require a purchase annually to receive one year of unlimited photo storage. Once again -- not an unreasonable request -- make sure it doesn't apply to you.

Has anyone else heard of another publisher making a minimum purchase requirement?
