In doing previous Hoorray reviews, I've had some issues with the photo book sotware provided by this printer. But Hoorray 2.0 continues to be a big improvement over their original software.

Hoorray's Photo Book Software

When making a Hoorray photo book, the 2.0 software is very intuitive and easy to use. The photo upload feature was quick and simple and did not require a software download to operate (which does occur with many other publishers). You can add pictures from your computer or from photos that have been previously uploaded. The photos appear in a photo tray and were very manageable. The only complaint is that you cannot see a larger picture when you are not sure who is in that picture-- there's no preview option.

Creating a Photo Book

My main negative Hoorray review when it comes to actually creating photo books is that your pictures do not automatically resize for the layout you choose. You need to go in and manually increase the size of the picture to fit the layout. While this give you a bit more control over how much you really want to increase the photo size, it can be a little tiresome for the average user.

Layouts, Backgrounds, and Templates

Hoorray is a good choice for someone who wants to make a book without making a lot of design choices. Although there are a lot of different layout choices available for any book, you are limited to choosing from a group of backgrounds that are designed for your chosen book theme. There are over 12 designer-created books created by well-known digital scrapbookers that give you more choices. These designer books cost a little more and are printed on a higher quality paper than the regular books. The final result does look nice, though.

Hoorray Help and Customer Service

At this point in time there is little Help available within the program itself. There are some FAQ's and basic instructions along with an email address to send any other questions that you might have. They answer questions quickly, but it's far from instantaneous... so if you get stuck on anything, you'll be stuck for awhile.
