Make Your Own Photobooks

Can a photo book be made from photos taken with 35mm and now on cd?

Wondering if my photos, that were taken with a 35mm camera, and stored on a cd format can easily be compiled into a photo book, once they are on my computer.

I'm just learning the computer stuff so I hope I am posing this question correctly. When I look at photo book sites to utilize, they often refer to the minimun megapixels needed for high quality books, not sure how this compares with photos on cd from 35mm. Thanks for the help.

Photo pixels needed for a photo book
by: Linda

Your question is a good one, and involves a couple of different points to it.

Yes, how many pixels a photo needs is important when making a photo book. Read "How Many Megapixels Do I Need?" on the Photo Book Primer page for a further discussion.

What is important for you is that photos stored on a CD are digital photos and can be used for making photo books. What determines how much resolution (how many pixels in size) they have is the resolution that was used when taking the photos.

Since you probably don't know that answer I would upload the photos to one of the easier to use photo book publisher/printers and use them in a book. If they don't have enough resolution the picture will show a warning symbol.

Probably the easiest to use printer/publisher would be Snapfish
.

Good Luck!
