Make Your Own Photobooks

Artscow review

by Tom
(Moorestown, NJ, USA)

I just made a photobook using Artscow.com and, despite their great prices, I do not recommend using this site for the following reasons:

1. I signed up to make a 30-page 12x12 book (they also offer a 20-page book of the same size for less money). After I had created most of book, I decided that 20 pages would be enough. There was no way to switch to a 20-page book without re-making the entire book all over again, which is what I finally had to do.

2. In agreement with the make-your-own-photobooks reviewer, I found the site not to be user friendly. It took hours of trial and error to figure out how to navigate within the site and their 1-page helpsite was virtually worthless.

3. In addition, I thought that the page layout options were very limited.

Artscow is the Worst On-Line Company
by: Anonymous

First photobook was lost due to a fire, so they say. Had to re-create it all over again, now it's been a month and I still don't have the photobook. You cannot talk to anyone, you have to email them, and they give you a generic answer.
If you don't want to waste your hard time, go somewhere else. You never know if you are going to get your order with Artscow.

ArtsCow Print Quality is Poor
by: Anonymous

I just got two books in the mail from artscow. The print quality was pretty poor, all of the prints were oversaturated (compared the same page printed by viovio). The page cropping was also not good.

Artscow has enough layout options
by: Anonymous

I also disagree with the above comment about not enough layout options.

I have used Shutterfly, Snapfish & Mpix in the past and I found that there are a lot of layout options for artscow! Its very easy to navigate the site.

There are some things I dislike about navigation though but overall the books I have ordered I have been happy with and you can't beat the price (shipping is where they get you, if you get the free book).

I disagree with the Artscow Review
by: Anonymous

I use that Artscow, and it is extremely easy to use. They rebuilt the site and there are thousands of layouts, and you can do much more there then Shutterfly and Snapfish, and is much cheaper.

And they are giving out free Photobooks and prints so you can try before you buy.

Just use the above link and you will receive 3 8x8 free Photobooks 1200 prints and some other items to try the service.
